Party Rental Business Names: 120 Ideas and How to Choose One
A good party rental business name is short enough to read on a moving truck, says what you rent in words people search, and leaves room to add tents later. Before committing, run a free USPTO or CIPO trademark search, check the domain and your state or provincial registry, and use only your real name on Google. The 120 ideas below are grouped by style, from bounce house names to wedding rentals, with what each one suits.

Key takeaways
- Google forbids adding keywords, towns or taglines to your profile name that are not in your real business name, and says doing so could get the profile suspended.
- A descriptive word that is genuinely part of your name, such as Party Rentals, is allowed and helps relevance, one of the three local ranking factors Google names.
- A US trademark application costs $350 per class since January 18, 2025, plus $200 per class if you write your own description instead of using the ID Manual.
- In Canada, CIPO charges CAD 491.06 online for the first class in 2026, rising to CAD 499.41 on January 1, 2027.
- A DBA or provincial name registration does not protect the name. Only a trademark does.
- A name built on "bounce" gets awkward the day you add a 20x40 tent.

What makes a rental company name work
A rental company name has three jobs: be found in a local search, be read in two seconds on a truck, and be said over the phone without spelling it. Cleverness comes fourth. If you are still deciding what to rent, start with how to start a party rental business.
It says what you rent
Parents search "bounce house rental near me" or "party rentals" plus their town, then choose from a map of names they have never heard of. A plain word like Party Rentals, Inflatables or Event Rentals tells them at a glance they found the right kind of company.
It survives the truck and the phone
Your name gets read at 40 miles an hour on a trailer and on a yard sign at a party. Two or three words is a practical target. Then say it out loud as if answering the phone on a Saturday. If you have to add "that's with a K" or "the number 4, not the word", the name will leak customers to whoever is easier to type.
It leaves room to grow
Many operators start with inflatables, then add tables, chairs, tents and concessions. A name built around "Bounce" or "Jump" fits the first season and fights you after that. A single town does the same: "Smithville Bounce" reads oddly on a wedding quote two counties over. If you are not sure what you will rent in five years, choose the name that fits the widest version.
How your name affects Google Business Profile
Your Google Business Profile, the listing on the map, must use your name as it appears in the real world. Google's business name guidelines say it should match how the business is "consistently represented and recognized in the real world across signage, stationery, and other branding." That makes naming an SEO decision.
What Google forbids in the name field
The practical version for a rental company:
| You may not add | Example of the violation | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Services not in your real name | "Maple Co. Bounce House Rentals" when the sign says "Maple Co." | Google, 2026 |
| Location details | "Maple Co. Party Rentals Springfield" | Google, 2026 |
| Marketing taglines | "Maple Co., the Best Parties in Town" | Google, 2026 |
| Phone numbers or URLs | "Maple Co. 555 0100" | Google, 2026 |
| All capitals or special characters | "MAPLE CO. ★ RENTALS" | Google, 2026 |
| LLC or Inc, unless used in the real world | "Maple Co. LLC" on the profile only | Google, 2026 |

Why a descriptive name is the legitimate shortcut
Google's local ranking guidance names three factors: relevance, "how well a Business Profile matches what someone is searching for"; distance from the searcher; and prominence, how well known the business is. Distance is fixed and prominence takes years of reviews. Relevance you can help on day one.
The difference from keyword stuffing is that the words really are your name: on the truck, the invoices and the state registration. If your registered name is "Maple Co." and the profile says "Maple Co. Party Rentals", a competitor can report it. If your registered name is "Maple Co. Party Rentals", it is simply your name.
Service area businesses
Most party rental companies deliver and have no showroom. Google tells service area businesses run from a home to hide the address, and says a virtual office, a mailing address you do not operate from, is not eligible for a profile. A name built on a town you do not operate from invites the same scrutiny. Categories and reviews are covered in how to get more bookings.
Check the domain before you fall in love
Check the .com before you order anything with the name on it. The US Small Business Administration's guide to choosing a business name notes that once you register a domain "no one else can use it for as long as you continue to own it", and that it does not have to match your legal name exactly.
- Prefer the .com, then the .ca in Canada. Customers type .com by habit.
- Short and spellable beats exact. A shorter form of the name beats a long hyphenated one.
- No hyphens and no numbers. Nobody remembers where the hyphen goes.
- Grab the social handles the same day, even if you will not post for months.
You do not need a custom domain on day one. Rentopus gives every operator a booking website at its own subdomain, or on a domain it owns, with a page for each town you deliver to, so towns live on the website, not in the name. The party rental website template drafts those pages, with search titles written around your name and your towns.
Trademark checks in the US and Canada
A trademark search tells you whether someone already has rights to a name like yours for similar services. It is free in both countries and takes ten minutes. Skipping it is how operators end up repainting a truck after a cease and desist letter.
Searching
In the US, use the USPTO's free Trademark Search system, which replaced TESS. Search the distinctive word, "Maple" rather than "Maple Party Rentals", then read the owners' services. The test is likelihood of confusion: a similar mark on related services, such as event planning, matters far more than the same name on software.
In Canada, search the Canadian Trademarks Database run by the Canadian Intellectual Property Office, CIPO. In both countries, also search Google Maps and Facebook for the name plus "rentals", because use alone can create rights where a name is known.
What registering costs
| Filing | Government fee | Notes | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| USPTO application, per class | $350 | Base fee, effective January 18, 2025 | USPTO, 2025 fee changes |
| USPTO surcharge, free form description | $200 per class | Avoided by picking a description from the ID Manual | USPTO, 2025 fee changes |
| CIPO application, first class, online, 2026 | CAD 491.06 | Paper filing costs more | Onley Law, July 2026 |
| CIPO application, first class, online, from January 1, 2027 | CAD 499.41 | Fees are adjusted each January | CIPO fees page, 2026 |
| CIPO, each additional class, from January 1, 2027 | CAD 151.57 | CIPO fees page, 2026 |

A company renting tents and tables as well as inflatables may fall into more than one class. Which class covers which service is a question for the ID Manual or a trademark attorney, and worth an hour of a lawyer's time before you pay for classes you do not need.
Registering the name: LLC, DBA and provincial registration
A state or provincial registration records that you use a name; it does not stop others. The SBA puts it plainly: "registering your DBA name doesn't provide legal protection by itself."
In the US
Your legal name is the name on your LLC or corporation filing. If you trade under anything else, most states require a DBA, also called an assumed, trade or fictitious name, filed at the state, county or city level depending on where you are, per the SBA. The simplest way to avoid one is to form the LLC under the exact name you will put on the truck. Then the legal name, the sign and the Google profile all match. The other first filings are in the licenses, permits and inspections guide.
In Canada
Each province runs its own registry. In Ontario, a sole proprietor trading under a name other than their own must register it under the Business Names Act, for $60 and five years according to SimplyfyBiz. Quebec registers names through the Registraire des entreprises and adds French language requirements under the Charter of the French language, so check there before you letter anything.

Source for all six tables: example names written for this guide on 2026-09-27 and 2026-10-17, not checked against trademarks or registries. A generic word like "bounce", "party" or "event" is hard to register on its own, so the distinctive half of the name is what you are really choosing. If the business is still a plan, the costs and first units are in how to start a bounce house rental business.
Rental company name ideas
Some owners want a name that fits any rental company, because the catalog may move from bounce houses to tables, tents or equipment. These are short, generic enough to grow with you, and still say "rentals" so the map shows what you do.
| Example | Why it works |
|---|---|
| Rentwell Co. | Short, and fits any inventory |
| Lendfield Rentals | An invented word, with a clearer trademark path |
| Carryall Rental Co. | A wide catalog |
| Haulwise Rentals | Delivery as the promise |
| Gearloft Rentals | Party gear and equipment together |
| Borrowbright Rentals | A friendly consumer brand |
| Doorstep Drop Rentals | Delivery to the door |
| Rentabout Co. | Playful and easy to say |
| Hitchwell Rentals | Trailers and towed units |
| Twofold Rental Co. | Two lines of business under one name |
| Easyreach Rentals | A wide service area |
| Brightbay Rental Co. | A coastal market |
| Rentmark Supply | Business to business work |
| Kindling Rentals | A small, warm brand |
| Oakpost Rentals | A rural, sturdy feel |
| Lofty Lot Rentals | A big inventory yard |
| Saturday Supply Co. | Weekend events |
| Wellset Rentals | Delivery and setup as the selling point |
| Crateworth Rentals | Many small items |
| Stockroom Rental Co. | A warehouse catalog |
| Everyday Event Rentals | Routine events all year |
| Handyhaul Rentals | Small loads, fast delivery |
| Upyard Rentals | Backyard parties |
| Gladly Rentals | Service as the brand |
The same checks apply. A name built only from common words, like "Rentwell", is harder to protect than an invented one, so run the trademark search before anything else.
The name checklist
Run every shortlisted name through these checks, in order, before you spend a dollar on lettering. It takes about an hour per name.
| Test | How | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Says what you rent | A stranger can guess the business from the name alone | Ask three people who do not know your plans |
| Room to grow | Still fits if you add tents, tables or a second county | Your five year inventory plan |
| Truck test | Readable from across a parking lot in two seconds | Print it large, look from 50 feet |
| Phone test | Spelled correctly by a stranger after hearing it once | Call a friend and have them type it |
| Local conflicts | No rental or party company nearby with a similar name | Google Maps, Facebook, Google search plus "rentals" |
| Trademark | No similar mark for related services | USPTO Trademark Search, or the Canadian Trademarks Database |
| Domain | The .com, or .ca in Canada, is free or affordable | Any domain registrar |
| State or provincial registry | Name is free to register as an entity or DBA | Your secretary of state, or provincial registry |
| Google profile | The name you will use on the profile is the real, registered name | Your LLC filing and DBA |
Frequently asked questions
What is a good name for a rental company?
A good rental company name says what you rent, is easy to say on the phone, reads in two seconds on a truck and leaves room to grow. Pair one distinctive word with a plain one, such as "Lendfield Rentals", then check the trademark, the domain and your state or provincial registry before you use it.
Should I put "bounce house" in my business name?
Only if inflatables will always be most of what you rent. A word like "bounce" in your real name helps parents recognize you on the map, but it fits badly on a wedding tent quote. Many operators use a neutral name such as "Party Rentals" and let the website categories and town pages carry "bounce house". That keeps the name useful for every item you add later.
Can I add keywords to my Google Business Profile name?
Not unless they are part of your real business name. Google's guidelines forbid adding services, locations or taglines to the name field and warn that doing it could get the profile suspended. If you want "Party Rentals" in your profile name, make it part of your legal name or registered DBA, and use it on the truck, invoices and website too.
Do I need to trademark my party rental business name?
It is not required to trade, and many local operators never register one. Searching is the part you should not skip, because using a name that infringes someone else's mark can force a rebrand. Registering costs $350 per class at the USPTO, or about CAD 491 for the first class online at CIPO in 2026, before any attorney fees.
Should my domain match my business name exactly?
Close is fine; exact is not required. The SBA notes a domain does not have to match your legal name. What matters is that a customer who hears the name can type the domain on the first try. Avoid hyphens and numbers, prefer the .com, and register a common misspelling and point it at the real site if it costs little.
Is it a bad idea to put my town in the business name?
It works if you will only ever serve that town, and it limits you when you expand. It can also look like keyword stuffing on the map if the town is not where you operate from. A regional word, such as a river, county or valley, gives the same local feel with room to grow. Put individual towns on their own website pages instead.
Can I change my rental business name later?
Yes, but it costs more than it looks. You file an amended entity name or a new DBA, reletter trucks and trailers, reprint signs, move the domain and update the Google profile, which Google may ask you to verify again. Customers who remember the old name may not find you. Choosing carefully now is far cheaper.
How do I check if a business name is already taken?
Search four places. The USPTO Trademark Search or the Canadian Trademarks Database for registered marks, your secretary of state or provincial registry for business names, a domain registrar for the .com, and Google Maps and Facebook for unregistered local companies. A name that passes all four is worth a closer look from a lawyer before you letter a truck.
